Does anyone know a place to get formica for steels in small quantities? Possibly a website or a distributor in Texas?

Looking for half a sheet of Dark Grey Pearl or Dark Black Pearl. Something Swirly.

Thanks/

Do a search for laminates/countertops. I found this pretty fast:

I bought a sheet of Italian laminate for a steel I was having built a while back from these guys:

They have some amazing stuff. At this point they can digitally print anything onto a formica type laminate.

I'd look for a local cabinet shop. Guys who re-face kitchen cabinets. They might not have a big choice though. The amount needed for a steel would be basically scrap to them.

Keith, back in the 70's I worked at a place called Wilsonart in Temple (about an hour north). Back then they did a lot of counter tops and cabinetry and, as far as I know, made the laminate. Don't know if they'll sell direct, but you could find their distributor list.

Looking closer at your original post, I see that you want dark pearl...I know where you could score a 2'x4' sheet of white pearloid (might be old-school celluloid), but Allparts in Houston sells pearloid laminates in several colors and you could probably get them to special order a sheet bigger than the 12"x18" sheets that they sell.

I wanted some white Formica to cover a pedal steel a few years ago and wasn't having any luck.
Like you, I didn't need a very big piece but would up with a full sheet from e-bay for next to nothing.
