Elsie Jaggers, a popular steel guitarist from the Pacific Northwest, passed in her home at 02:15 AM, August 12th.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 20th at 3:00 PM in Salem, Oregon.
She often played in the difficult C#min tuning and made such beautiful music. Her playing was recently featured on YOU TUBE on Ray Montees' Channel. Through her CD's and DVD's her music will live on. |

So sorry to hear this. I remember when she played for our club Steel Guitar West here in California so many years ago. She was a wonderful player and a very pleasant person. As I recall, she played a beautiful guitar handmade by her husband, who accompanied her on ukelele.

| So sorry to hear this. She was my first teacher. I lost track of her many years agp. She and her family would come to our church, in CA, were my daddy was the pastor. She was fabulous. |
