Elsie Jaggers, a popular steel guitarist from the Pacific Northwest, passed in her home at 02:15 AM, August 12th.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 20th at 3:00 PM in Salem, Oregon.

She often played in the difficult C#min tuning and made such beautiful music. Her playing was recently featured on YOU TUBE on Ray Montees' Channel. Through her CD's and DVD's her music will live on.

So sorry to hear this. I remember when she played for our club Steel Guitar West here in California so many years ago. She was a wonderful player and a very pleasant person. As I recall, she played a beautiful guitar handmade by her husband, who accompanied her on ukelele.
