I am using a Backstage Plus amp at home (35watts,) a great little amp and has a really nice tone which I think could be improved with a better speaker. Has anyone used 10" speakers for steel or can anyone recommend a good replacement. I was considering an Eminence Delta Demon which is I believe, usually used in blues amps. On the other hand would I be better looking at 10" bass speakers??
Cheers Dave. |

Tanks for the suggestion Dave but that speaker is not available over here and the shipping costs from the States is just impossible.
Cheers Dave. |

One of my two "little" speakers is an Eminence Beta-12, and it has a very usable frequency response for steel. They make a Beta-10, it looks to be about the same.

The frequency has a peak around 2.2K, then drops off a cliff - just what I need for steel. |
