Well, I've had most all of the Peavey steel amps and the only one I didn't care for was the Limited 400. The Session 400, 500, and Nashville 400's I've had over the years were really good. But, I've recently acquired my first Peavey Vegas and now I understand what all the positive comments were referring to. This is a great amp!!!!

I played two Vegas's for years and they performed & sounded great, maybe even better than my Stereo Steel amp as far as immediate punch at the volume pedal is concerned. They just got "heavier" as I got older and playing a twin setup became a pain to carry around. I also had an Session 400 LTD and it was kind weak in the bottom end for some reason so it became my backup amp. Also, you will find the knobs on the Vegas are much less prone to breaking off than are those on the session 400 LTD. Good luck with your Vegas setup. It will serve you well if cared for. Best Regards. Zeke |

The Vegas 400 is also my favorite, so I just picked up another one. I also got rid of the 400 ltd.
I don't have a problem with the weight of them as my wife says they are no heavier to carry than the Nashville 400 or the Fender Twin. _________________ Mullen D-10 8x5; Sho-Bud Super Pro D10 8x6; PedalMaster 5 Star SD-10 3x5; Dekley D-10 8x4;
