Look's like it's shaped only for that steel like are their great hard cases... dispite what the site says.

I'm thinking a Melobar would fit in there.

It will only fit the Rondo SX lap steels. Don't bother if you have a different instrument, unless you plan on cutting the instrument to fit the bag.

I'll find out. I think the gig bag will be much more forgiving than the hard case, so I ordered one.

My melobar SLS is a 22-7/8" scale, gigbag is 33-1/2" long. And the melobar is pretty slender, even at the lower bout. It'll all depend on the body countour and where it tapers down to the neck. If it doesn't work, I can return it. Either way, I'll post the results. Heck, a $16 gigbag sounds good to me, if it works.

These might fit my Joe Morrell Pro 8 stringer (formerly called the "Little Roy" but the name was changed to protect the innocent Laughing ).

Shipping charges for me out in Sunny California are $13.61, and are not refundable if I decided to return the gig bag to Rondo. So if it didn't work I might as well keep it (it could be handy for carrying something else- maybe my submachine gun? Whoa! )

If someone gets one of these perhaps they could post the measurements- upper bout, lower bout, waist along with the maximum thickness. BTW the shipping charges are a lot more reasonable if you order 2 or more.

I'll take the measurements when it comes in and post here. I should be receiving mine on Friday, so maybe look for a post from me sometime over the weekend.

Melobar Tomohawk and Melobar SLS fit perfectly into this gigbag. Nice and snug.

Didn't have time to get measurements, but the bottom of this page at Rondo's site shows the measurements of their travel guitar which fits into the SX gigbag.
