Can someone tell me why the RV 3 seems to be so popular as opposed to the RV5 or other similar units? I was told by the "expert" who sold me my first steel that the RV5 was the thing to have so I bought it. Have since sold it because I wasn't impressed with it. I notice that whenever an RV3 comes up for sale on the board it disappears pretty fast. Thanks in advance for you help. As I understand it they aren't made anymore.....thanks for your help.........clark

I was told that it was "where" it was made and not how it was made. I think they were made in Japan, the newer ones were made somewhere else I don' t remember where. But anyway I sit with my finger poised over the click button, and haven't made it yet though someday..........I might. Rolling Eyes

A lot of people like the RV3 because it has both delay and reverb in one small box.

I have two RV 3's...Great pedals, shame they stopped making them. Yes whenever they are advertised for sale they do go quick. I got the second one as a spare.

As stated above, the appeal of the RV3 is due to the fact that it is a two in one pedal (reverb and delay).
However, it is not an ideal pedal. By having both effects in one pedal it is lacking in some adjustments. I have one but much prefer having reverb and delay in two separate pedals.
