No headstock ACE decal but the pickup cover molded into the brown bakelite body makes it an Ace (as opposed to an "American Academy") regardless. Rickenbacher yellow/red decal below the fretboard. All there except back covers over pots and pickup (weren't there when I got this ca. 1989.) Some version of the ACE have cover plates over the entire back of the body. This is the other version with smaller separate plates over the pickup and over the pots.
Pots are a little tight but crank 'em on full and leave 'em. Tone pot is marked 304706, suggesting 1947; white flying saucer knobs are consistent with that. (1937 or 1957 wouldn't make much sense historically.)
One tuner button seems to have been repaired....maybe by me in my Pre-Cambrian youth.
It has the shards of an original chipboard case which I can include if the buyer so chooses. I'll put it in an old viola case for shipping.
$375 + shipping + PayPal (if used). _________________ "Gopher, Everett?"

Asking price, Ben? Is it hard to find a real replacement back panel, or easier to have one made? I have an Academy almost identical, great sounding lap steels. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION
