Hi,
the German Steel Guitar Forum has opened.

http://www.steelguitarforum.de

Everybody is welcome. So if you like to check out your German language skills and you love steel guitar that's the place to go. Cool

Thanks alot
Joerg

Joerg, your post made me think of a German steeler who used to be a regular participant on the Forum.....Reiner Hackstaette (I may not have spelled the last name correctly). It has been several years since I have seen anything from him. Does anyone know him or know how he might be doing?

Hi Chuck,
his name is Rainer Hackstätte. I know him from emailings and some phone calls. As you, I lost the connection to him for quite a while now. I invited him to be part of the GSGF but he didn't register yet. If he does I'll give him a PM and forward him to you.

Thanks, Joerg. It looks like it was the first name that I did not spell correctly. I have never met Rainer and do not really know him, but I always enjoyed reading his posts. I hope all is OK with him.

The forum looks very nice, Joerg! It's good that you have a place to discuss steel guitar that is in your first language. And it will make it easier to find players and gear in your area. Well done! Smile

I would hate to completely lose all of you German-speaking steelers from this forum -- so I hope you will all continue to check in here too. There are so few of us steel players on the planet that we'll probably always be a worldwide brotherhood.

Good luck with the new forum! I sent the link to my good buddy Stefan Roller. I'm sure he'll be joining soon, if he hasn't already.

I'm now settling into the beautiful country of Germany. I now am treating the US Army troops in Schweinfurt. I've brought my steel and would like to link up with some for some music.
Thanks, Bob Strum and wife Carol

Hey Todd, Yes I'm going to miss all the great friends in Saluda and other shows. I'm hoping that there will be other shows near this fort to establish new friendships.
God bless America!
