I have a old, Made in Japan, DD3 that has gotten very harsh. Anyone know any quick fix for it ? I always loved it with one amp. I use a lexicon with two amps.
It seems like the highs are boosted , for some reason,.

I could be barking up a dry tree. No Squirrel !
I looked inside and no chips that I'm smart enough to replace. I was hopeing for a 2134 change !! lol
Help !!!! Cool

add a smallish value cap (I used a 68nf film) from the wiper of the effect level pot to ground. This essentially creates a low-pass filter that cuts the high-end off the delay signal.
you can make it smoother that way without modding the entire unit. There are some other mods out there that make it sound more analog but require component replacement. In general Boss pedals are easy to work on and mod with the right tools.
