I am selling a blonde short scale double neck 8 string Fender steel, older 1950's style. Plays and works great. Case ok condition but kinda weak and one latch missing. Pots are slightly scratchy but not noticeable. Body in good condition with very minor dings, but in good shape for its age. Nice little double neck Fender. $1000.00
The second Fender steel is a brown Stringmaster long scale older 1950's style Plays and works great. Case good condition but kinda weak. All latches work. I bought this about 20 years ago and noticed that it looks as if it has been re painted from the blonde to brown color with the Fender paint formula. Paint job looks good but I think all the metal parts were taped (not taken off) and then painted-If you look real hard, you can see an area under the bridge where it is still blonde, also some very minor chipping of brown exposing the blonde in a few areas, plus the under side, which can be seen in pictures that I could send. This is a guess, but I'm pretty sure it was repainted. But it still plays and sounds great. Asking $950 for this.
I know I could get more probably for both, but because of the possible repaint on the stringmaster and the fact that I need the money...
I would be willing to work out a price for both steels if anyone is interested. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Having trouble posting pics on the forum but I can email pictures if interested. Email through forum or dhb@wildblue.net
