How "bout these guys? Two of my favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKooaE9DocU&feature=related
I learned from Mr. John Hix, looking back he could play just like J. B. I wish I would have listened more. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Great taste Paul! You can actually see the entire show in two parts here:

and here:

They were posted/created (?) by our forum luminary Basil. Smile

I'd like to get my hands on the show Jerry did for Hawaii Public Television. Most of it can be seen on YouTube, but I'd like to see the whole show in one part. Anyone know where I could get a copy?

Marty was a steel guitar fan and even played some, but I don't know if he was just a "closet picker". Marty was also a Little Roy Wiggins fan and Roy told me he went over to Marty's house one time and Marty got his steel out and played one of Little Roy's songs note for note.

Paul, we had a very extensive thread on the subject in 2007. Make yourself a bowl of popcorn later and settle in for a hefty reading session:

Thanks Mark, I'll have to come here more often, and pay more attention. I grew up listening to guys like Marty and Jerry and just took it for granted. When I look at the music scene today I believe folks that grew up when I did saw some of the best music ever.
