This year's special guest for the HSGA Joliet convention is Greg Sardinha! Greg is one of the world's finest steel guitarists - Hawaiian, Rock, Blues, Swing - he does it all.
Greg will be performing a set each day of the convention and also be featured in the Saturday night luau show.
He will also be 4000 miles from his home in Hawaii. In other words, he's not going anywhere - he'll be around for jamming, socializing and showing you a few things on the steel.
Convention dates: October 6-8, 2011
Location: Joliet, Illinois (40 miles west of Chicago)

Hey guys,
Greg Sardinha is a must see and hear.
He was a student of Jerry Byrd in his early training, so he was taught right. But since he has developed a lot of his own individuality and a very unique style. He will probably put on a seminar which will enrich your knowledge of steel and Hawaiian music and more.
In addition to what Gerald said, Greg plays many kinds of Hawaiian music and is a master of all of them.
Aloha,
Don |

One of his many fine talents which doesn't get enuf attention is his playing on the old National tri cones. If someone can put one in his hands during his time there they'll be glad they did. |

Greg is the man, and a master at the steel-pedals or not! I guarrantee that he will put on an amazing show. He could make a baseball bat strung with barbed wire sound great. In other words here is an opportunity to see one of the very best Hawaii has to offer! Do not miss out. _________________ Dana Blodgett

I was fortunate to stumble onto the Henry Allen steel guitar festival in Maui this year and I must say Greg was a real treat to talk and listen to. It should be on the DO NOT MISS list for those of you going to Joliet
