Very sad. She was a great talent, but we can't say we didn't see this coming.
Wasn't it just a few weeks ago there was a youtube video of her on stage stumbling, slurring, throwing her mic, band members propping her up, fans booing her off the stage?

Age 27, like many other rock stars.

The news report I saw didn't list a cause, but I agree on what probably was the cause, given her past history with drugs and alcohol.

her fate was inevitable - it was written long before it happened
i could be wrong but i think her dad managed her
canceling her summer tour means a heck of a lot of compensation money
i imagine the pressure was such that she chose an easy way out ?
the one(s) left holdin' the bag are in for a lot of grief
bleedin' artists are often much too fragile & unpredictable
have mercy !
RIP Amy

While I was aware of all the seedy media reports, I've never seen or heard her perform. Can someone please point to a YouTube that shows her at her best?

Yeah, she was real good. She could really milk a jazz ballad, and her pop stuff was in the pocket. Too bad...

I thought she was great.. like Jim C. said, she could really milk a Jazz ballad, very sad.

You know I think what I really liked about her was she was DIFFERENT.
