Many of you may remember my father Vernon Hester who enjoyed his times here on the forum. We thank many of you for your kind words concerning his passing last Thanksgiving. We have decided to find a new home for his first steel. If anyone is interested I can send some pictures as well as if you care to hear the tone go to You Tube and search Vernon Hester. He has numerous songs being played on the Rickenbacker. I can be reached at scrided@yahoo.com |

A very nice guitar indeed. I watched your Dad's video and was intimidated. I don't know if anyone can make it sound as good as he. What a player!
I had to watch it three times.
Sorry for your loss. He was an icon.
If I can raise the money I will be on this guitar.
This is a lap guitar with no legs.
regards,
Lefty |

Bump up for the Hester family
I'm sorry to hear that Vernon (Sr.) has passed away
The price of $700 (shipped) is a steal of a deal for a nice Rick with provenance of being the main axe of player of fine reputation. I would buy this without hesitation if I was not currently thinning out my personal collection. |
