This is a National Duolian with an interesting refinish job, probably a 1936 or so, judging by the shape of the headstock. The heavy re-finish job has been partially removed on the top of the headstock, looking for a serial number, but apparently it has been sanded off. I may be able to make out part of it, but it's hard to tell. My best guess is 1936.

This is the best neck on a vintage National I have ever played, bar none, and I've owned a dozen or so, and played dozens more. The neck is straight, the intonation is on, and you can fret it all the way up the neck. The cone is not original, but sounds really good. The tuning machines look to be original, but the tuner buttons have been replaced at some point.

This is a great guitar, and I hate to sell it, but I have several Nationals, and I need to raise cash to buy a pedal steel.

I'm asking $1,600, and I'll include a hardshell case.
I have dozens more pictures if anyone is interested.
Feel free to email me directly. shoveldog@triad.rr.com

Thanks for looking.

PS, I forgot this first time around, but the decal on the headstock in the picture is not original, and in fact, is no longer there. That pic is old, taken by the guy I bought the guitar from, and when I got it, I didn't like the bogus decal and took it off. Other than that, the guitar looks the same.

I'm bumping this to see if there's any interest before I list it on eBay. Trades or offers considered.

Thanks.

I was lukewarm about selling this the first time around, but now it's time to let it go. Make me an offer if you're interested, or this time it's off to eBay, for real.

Thanks for looking.
