Yup Erv, it's a hybrid....there are some push pull tone qualities for sure. It sounds more presentsy(is that a word)than my regular "99" Zum. I love it!

I have the privilege of standing next to Bill every Sunday for 5 or 6 hours for the last 7 years, and I can attest to it's absolute beauty of this new guitar, and what a sound! The highs and lows are both so present. The highs are crystal clear, the lows are full and rich. String separation is great, there is a growl. Body, lots of body. I can hear the difference between this one and his 99 Zum that I've been hearing every week for many years, that also is a wonderful sounding machine, one of those magical ones where you pick a string and feel the guitar vibrate. Now he's got two.
