Is this legit? I did not know that emmons made lap steels!

Yes, they made a few. I never saw a black one though, just brown.

It's a rare instrument, but nowhere near what he wants for the Buy It Now price. Some people confuse "rare" with "valuable".

True, these usually sell for about $700 to $800. I remember seeing them listed in the Emmons catalogs back in the 1970s.

Yes, and sometimes something is rare for good reason! Emmons is known for its push-pulls. It certainly did not gain any fame from the reputation of this model...

I have a black one, but it has a completely different pickup -- the p'up on mine looks more like a toaster-type. Sounds pretty good -- it's a warm pickup, not hoigh output, though.
