Tonight Kyle is playing steel with "Steel Magnolia" on the Jimmy Kimmel Show channel ABC, check you listings!
Kyle is a young steel player who tours with "Jake Owens" and does gigs with "Steel Magnolia" when time permits......can't wait! Smile

Thanks for the heads-up, Theresa! We'll be sure to watch.

Saw Kyle on his D-10 Emmons when I was in Nashville last year: great picker, great guy.

Kyle is a very neat and talented young man. After he finished colledge(MBA), I loaned him a couple of my Steels at different times. I think he has more steels than me now.
I'm glad he's doing well.

Thanks for the comments everyone! We had such a great time; everyone on the show was very nice to us. In case anyone wants to hear the song, here is a link via youtube:

Leon-
If not for yours and Albert's encouragement early on, I might not have stuck with steel. Thanks for all your help and advice that kept me going!

Kyle,

I would love to know what amp / effects your guitar was running through, and how you were put into the system...it sounded great.

Thanks!

Thanks Ted! Smile
Since we flew in, the show provided amps. I went straight from my guitar into a Franklin stereo volume pedal then into a Nashville 400. They miked it with an SM57.

FWIW, I normally prefer Franklin guitars, but brought the Emmons because I didn't have access to my "A" guitar in time for our trip. The Emmons is a great guitar.

Congratulations, Kyle!

Hope "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" is the only the first of many No. 1's you play on. Love the Sho-Bud T-shirt in the video. FF.

Kyle, what do you mean no access to your "A" guitar? Looks to me like you have the inside track. Laughing
