6/19/11 Branson Community Center Ozark Steel Guitar Association Jam/Meeting. Light in attendance but heavy in fun and fellowship. As Buddy Lewis stated "sometimes a small group can really get it on and have some good pickin' and fun" and that was the case sunday.
They allowed me to play with them and was even kind enough not to run me off early !!!
Bob Carden
Jerry Hanley
Terry Bethel
Russ Burns & Buddy Lewis
Name on steel tells it all
Alderman from the 77th ward in Pea Ridge, Ar.
Jim Kielblock didn't bring his ax but he did some fine vocals for us.
Buddy Lewis doing a great job on Ray Prices' "The Other Woman"
One thing about David, he comes to play !!! Just about a one man orchestra !
Coy Scott & Charlie Steichen enjoying a visit.
Venda Hanley, Pat & John Zazuliak. ( I don't know the guy standing up in back, but he's always there)
Thanks to Charlie for filling in for me on picture duties. I owe you, Charlie. -- |

Thanks again, Bill, for the picture story! And a triple thank you for bringing your steel and playing! That made my day!! Thanks to the folks that brought the 'yummies'. They were sure good!! Speaking of 'yummies'.....all you wonderful cooks out there, if you haven't let Venda know that you'll be bringing food for the big JULY SHOW, she would love to hear from you!! Thanks Buddy and Russ for making a big sound.....you all made a good band! And thanks to the steel players that made such super music!! By the way, don't forget the July Show, July 29 - 31!! _________________ Jerry and Venda |

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the Sunday jam. We didn't have a lot of steel players, but the ones that showed up really worked their tails off playing their instrument. It's always a treat for me to play with Russ Burns who is a solid drummer and makes staying in the pocket on bass an easy thing to do. It was good to see Jerry and Venda again. It always feels like something's missing when they are not there. And thanks to my friend Bill Myrick for finally letting me hear him play his steel guitar. Good job Bill! _________________ vocals and back-up vocals, bass and rhythm guitar |

Hey everyone,
I sure am sorry for my unexpected absence for the jam Sunday. I had all intentions of being there but unexpected personal issues kept me from attending. I'm glad it turned out to be a fun day for everyone involved.
Take care friends and I hope I get to see you all soon.
Sincerely,
Dino* _________________ Dino Strunk |
