1. Which brands of guitars use hex cross shafts
2. Which brands used set screws to hold the pull rod in the bell crank pin

Sonny,
Old pull/release Marlens used a round shaft with one flat side. Knee lever shafts were full round.

All of pull/release had set screws in the pins to push or pull the rods. I think the all pulls had them too.

Thomas uses hex screws on the bell cranks rod conection.
Square cross shafts.. (edit)

if I'm not mistaken Sho Bud used hex shafts seems i remember them on my LDG 1000 it was a late one made in 1983 of course Sho Bud bit the dust in 1984?...

Msa uses round cross shaft and set screws in the bell crank.

Kline and the Sho~Bud Super-Pro used hex cross shafts.

Rittenberry and Mullen use hex shafts. Rittenberry uses the set screw to connect the rod to the bellcrank too.
