About a month ago,the owner of KEQX 89.7 radio station in Dublin Texas put together a great classic country music show. This is the 2nd year that Sam Upshaw and his wife have done this for their sponsors & listeners. The band had some great musicians: Gary Carpenter - Steel Guitar, Dixie Hankins - Drums, Larry Butler - Bass, Teddy Driskill- guitar, Robert Weeks- fiddle, Anthony Wilson - fiddle, Coleman Smith - fiddle, a young lady named
Jessica played guitar,Larry Reed, and one other man that played upright bass, I didn't get his mame.
Featured preformers were: Tony Booth, Curtis Potter,
Darrell McCall, Mona McCall, Georgette Jones, Dotty Jack, Tommy Hooker, Landon Dodd, Mack Abernathy, Anthony Wilson, Durwood Strube & Bobby Dean
I took a lot of pictures and thought I would post them here for everyone to see. Click on the link and use the slide-show

Wow! sorry we missed this one. Both Dixie Hankins and Robert Weeks are with the Jody Nix band here in Big Spring. I played with a Larry Reed, bassman, in the Dallas area one time. Of course one of the biggest supporters of the WTSGA is Curtis Potter. He's been at several of our events. Jim if this comes up again I'm certain there are several of us that would like to attend. In passing, I really enjoyed your playing at the last Merkel event. Much Improved I must say.
