Although I have no interest in this guitar, I am informing SGF'ers that an early 60's sunburst Fender 1000 arrived at Atomic Music in Beltsville, MD recently. Any of you DC Metro players are aware that Atomic is the place where battered and bruised heavy metal gear goes to die, but cool stuff does tend to surface there, which instills the faithful to keep checking in.

Talk to my main man Paul Thomas, he can set you straight as to its innards, it looks to be a '62, it has the two original tan Tolex cases, there's some checking and rectangular chips on the finish, but I'd say it is in better than decent shape, no corrosion, it works and sounded good to me. I can't speak to the mechanicals. You can get all the contact info at www.atomicmusic.com. I've included a phone photo, it isn't great but you get the idea.

If a SGF member does make a purchase, I would expect a contribution be made to the SGF.

I just learned that a regular Atomic Music customer purchased this steel guitar, so B0b, you can take this down if that is the procedure. Thanks for the opportunity.
