I was curious what type of Lap Steel I have ? A friend gave it to me to use for some sessions and I've been actually spending sometime learning how to play it correctly and got curious what brand/model it was.

That is a Harmony brand steel guitar, I think model H1.

Yes, it's the Harmony H1. Here's a page about it. It looks like it's missing the plastic pickup cover based on the holes near the pickup.

it has the same foil d'Armond and controls as the era H-44.

Thanks for the info guys. That's definitely the one I have and I now see the cover I am missing. Ignorance was bliss...now I have to search for one haha.
