I have been looking for awhile myself and haven't found anything out there. I have thought about contacting some of the builders on this sight to see if they would put something together.
It would be killer if Warmoth or somebody offered a lap steel body!
Good luck in you search. _________________ "Don't be mad honey, but I bought another one" |

The Dynalap's were a great kit, but at the price Mark was selling them for, its no wonder he is no longer building them. I've looked into what it would take to offer a nice kit similar to Marks, and it became painfully obvious he was working for peanuts and giving them away.
In my analysis, to realistically hit a similar price point, and make enough to buy some groceries, it took more corner cutting than I'm willing to do.
In all honesty, if I was looking for something to work on myself, I'd buy one of those Rondo's for just the case and body and upgrade all the hardware and pickup. _________________ Some misc pics of my hand crafted steels

Rondo no longer supplies that great case with the steel guitar, Tom, just a softie now, but it's available seperately. That deal was just too good to last!
Those of us lucky to get one of Mark's guitar's know well what other's are missing now that he's quit making them. |
