I'm in the process of transcribing Rudi Wairata's solos from his recording of Royal Hawaiian Hula. He really swings. His vibrato is fabulous and he has a way of syncopating the melody line which I think is called the Hula Pick. Can anyone give me the approximate values of the two notes within the Hula Pick as generally used? I can guess at it, but when you commit these things to paper they should be as accurate as possible.
