Hey Jim, I am teaching myself to play, it's a slow process but it is working and can be done. My suggestion is to buy the Jeff Newman courses. Sometimes you can find them here on the Forum if you are quick enough to reply. I have not been successful at this so I just get them from Jeffran Music, They are a little expensive but well worth every penny. I learned more in 2 weeks than I did in 7 months with other instructions that I purchased. This guy could teach a chicken to quack, he' very thorough and persistant. Hope this helps. Ray Whoa! Whoa! Very Happy

Ray Walker is about an hour southeast of Durham. I am not sure of others in the area. Ray is an excellent player and I'm sure he could help you learn a few things.

Jim, since I've just gotten the "Gothard bump" (thanks, Jay), I'll chime in and say I'd be happy to work with you. I'm located in south Raleigh and will follow up shortly via email with more info. Bill
