Ron,
When you click on the website this is the message:
Product: SX Lap 1 NA/Bag B Stock
Sorry, this item is currently out-of-stock. Only items listed at www.rondomusic.com are available.
It was good to see you again in Waikiki and finally meet Denny Turner. I have read many of his postings and enjoyed his musical knowlege. Now I can finally put a face with a name.
See ya later.
Aloha,
Don |

I don't see that message, Don, and it probably only pertains to the regular/A stock items anyway.
Always glad to see you in Hawaii too, and thanx for being a receptive/caring member of the HSGA, not many would graciously take the heat I let off on your undeserved ears, and come back for more. You da man, Don! I was really glad to see Denny there too, he shoulda been up there playing instead of some others... Will there even be a KP show next year? |

Ah, so Don was buying...! Sorry mate, that one was probably gone yesterday. It was only $10 off and the new blond w/P90 looks better anyway. |

I think that there will be a KP show (Kapiolani Park show) because HSGA has done it annually for quite some time. The Lei viewers need entertainment. Denny can be a part of that show and help entertain the people viewing the prized leis.

Well then... what happened to the golden decades-long tradition, lately at the Ala Wai clubhouse, that Jerry Byrd handed them, which then went bi-annually, and shamefully is now total history?
That the tiny bi-annual KP gig was probably toast after this year was from one whom generally knows the scoops, and history does not bode well on these matters. |

Ron,
I hope your predictions do not materialize.
It was told me that the Ala Wai concert conflicted with the PK park concert because they both would have been on Sunday. They could not do both. That tells me that the Ala Wai concert will be back. Just wait and see.
Got to run.
Aloha,
Don |

I don't know, Don, the excuses I keep hearing for bad decisions per HSGA shows are dramaticly poor. I think we/JB/steel guitar deserve to have the tradition maintained/returned even if it's far from what it was decades ago, especially compared to the mostly ultra-poor KP shows of late.
I keep hoping for the trend to reverse, but when you think it can't get any worse... I'll keep hoping, but it's kinda odd that the mainland version has decided edge on quality and effort over what we're getting.
Thanx again for being the lone voice of promise. |
