I have just released my new CD, Soul's Engines. The CD features 5 songs on the Weissenborn, as well as some bottleneck dobro and lapsteel. I also had my good friend, Rob Anderlik, of Sunny Side Up, play his Scheerhorn on a track.
I am a singer/songwriter who plays mostly vintage stringed guitar and mandolin instruments.

You can find out more about the CD at:

I was privilaged to hear the advance mixes of Dwight's record as well as write the liner notes so, this isn't an unbiased review. Nevertheless, I'm sure that anyone who digs melodic pop & rock with strong vocals and acoustic textures - especially Weissenborn steel - will dig this CD. It's positive, uplifting music. Buy it!

Thanks Andy.
I've seen postings asking for soundfiles of a weissenborn. So I've just added more downloadable mp3s of the songs on the website. Some of the slide work is subtle on the songs, but if you're looking for more prominent Weissenborn, I suggest listening to the songs "For Granted" and "Soul Merynade". I played lapsteel on "Ninety-five Through Nebraska".

Thanks.

Dwight
