Our good friend Eddie Stubbs will be attending Scotty's convention this weekend, and assisting in some of the MC duties. You never know, he may even break out his fiddle and play on a shuffle or two. Also, Justin Trevino will be there also, and will be doing Johnny's set with him on Saturday night. So it proves to be a really fun weekend.

This is GREAT news!!! There isn't a better or more knowledgeable DJ than Eddie. He is wonderful and it is going to be so good to have him at the show. Hope it can become an annual thing with him. Look forward to seeing and talking with him again.
Musically yours,
Leslie |

Eddie is also a very fine fiddler and bass singer as well. I had the pleasure of playing on the same bill many times with Eddie (back in my banjo pickin' days) when he was with the "Johnson Mt. Boys". They were one of the best traditional bluegrass bands ever, and his fiddling was a large part of their sound. |

Joan, what a fantastic job Eddie di while sharing in the announcing. He has a beautiful voice and I really appreciated how he gave a history of the steelers as they were introduced. He gave the players the credits that they so deserve. I hope he is back in the future. |

Eddie brought a touch of class, professionalism, and knowledge that truly elevated the overall quality of the event. I hope he can return next year.

It seemed that Eddie was delivering these introductions from memory and personal knowledge. He didn't appear to have any notes. Whether he did or not isn't important, he sure packed a lot of specifics into each introduction.

I definitely enjoyed Eddie's profound introductions and comments. I had the impression that he also enjoyed the music (at least he survived me in the Jefferson room with Jake Hooker !)
Kind Regards, Walter

I had the pleasure of interviewing Eddie on Steelradio.com and he is one amazing person. He said he came to Nashville playing fiddle for Kitty Wells and things just happened with radio.
I also had the great honor of interviewing Justin Trevino and Jake Hooker and I can honestly say these are two of the nicest politest young men I have ever had the opportunity to meet. It is great to know that young talent like these are on the way up to help preserve country music.

I got a chance to meet and talk with Eddie Stubbs. He is a treasure trove of information about classic country music. He always has some information that changes my perception of an artist.
I listen to him on www.bluegrasscountry.com nearly every Sunday morning. I am thinking of subscribing to SIRIUS to hear him more often.
Regards,
Sam |
