I was hit with the XP Total Security Trojan. I got a removal code online, that made it think i actually purchased the software. So i finally was able to get back online and get removal instructions here: http://www.myantispyware.com/2010/03/17/how-to-remove-total-xp-security/

I used step 1, then downloaded malwarebytes. So i finally got rid of it. But now i have a windows security alerts balloon in my system tray that says my "Automatic Updates" are not on. I went to the control panel, turned them on, and hit apply, then ok. But it still says my automatic update is not on??? How do i get my auto updates back, and get rid of the warning balloon in my system tray???

Dbl-click the balloon.

The XP Security Center? should start.
In there click change the way security center alerts me
and uncheck all three check boxes.

I call them Automatic Corrupdates btw.
