"Tonight" is from "West Side Story", an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet". It was written in 1956 by Leonard Bernstein with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. It starts with playing around the notes of the pentatonic scale. Played here on the Steelocaster A6 tuning. Backing by Gary Taylor and Trevor Spencer. For part of this rendition, a Line 6 delay line was used, using the "auto-volume echo" feature. Also, a Stratocaster "whammy bar" effect as used by Hank Marvin and The Shadows was emulated with the steel.
