I recently had the pleasure of accompanying Natalie Maines on an interesting arrangement of our national anthem, using a long scale fry-pan.

It was mostly single note playing, switching off between melody and harmony.
Really fun.

It was for the unveiling of the Gregory Peck postage stamp, and was held at the Academy building here in Los Angeles. She sang amazingly, and it was a haunting, beautiful rendition of a familiar tune done much differently that I had heard before.
