Here's a new slide tune played on a Bastogne walnut weissenborn in my guitar making workshop. The tune is called Gentle Landings and is in D minor.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6utHOAZpaEw
It comes from a new album of instrumentals and songs recorded with a five piece band in Wellington, NZ. Tracks can be heard at http://www.amplifier.co.nz/release/70242/gentle-landings.html
Slidin' on back to the workbench now where a partly made weissenborn awaits.

Sounded more like a nice little STEEL tune to me.
Sweet looking and sounding acoustic steel guitar, Pad.

I thought I should post a little here about Paddy's shop, for those who don't get a chance to visit!

Going to Paddys shop is an incredible experience. Park at the street end (if your lucky), and up on the hill Paddy's soft incandescent work light shines out like a beacon of musical solace in the heart of a busy city.

Work your way up the steps though an enchanted forest, follow the sign and track back down around the side of the old home, past the peach tree and strawberry patch and you are there.

Paddy's shop smells like a 100 year old rosewood board, spruce or mahogany and lacquer. Scattered all around are bits of vintage tooling and all kinds of musical instruments in various stages of completion.

Not only is Paddy a prolific and gifted craftsman, but he is also most gracious host. And as you can see here, our local slide maestro (and equally talented on just about any other instrument as well).

Thank you - Paddy!

Great stuff Paddy.
I'd pop round & say HI if I wasn't on the other side of the planet!
