Just found an update on the Jerry Byrd Fan Club site that I know some of you enjoy visiting.
It's an old tune and many recording artists down through the years, have put it on disc.
It's one of those golden oldies that displays a young Jerry Byrd at this finest. This one has that rich Rickenbacher TONE all the way through, from the first note to the last.
I really enjoyed it. I found it on the HOME PAGE. |

Oh Dratt! In my haste to get songs up on the JBFC for the month of May (I missed April completely!) I mistakenly posted what I tho't at the moment, to be a Jerry Byrd record. I was mistaken. That song "Twilight Blues" was an olde recording I'd made some years ago. The talking was not Jerry Byrd but rather, "ME".
ALL HAS BEEN CORRECTED at this time.
A great example of JERRY BYRD's playing is now installed. It's an old Decca record vocal by Bob Eaton. Jerry Byrd is
the ONLY lead instrument on this entire record. He plays all of the back-up and two solo peformances, the like of which I've never before heard. This was on either his old six or seven string Rickenbacher, not sure which.
I sincerely hope this will garner some players' interest.
