This guitar has the pentad pickup with the 5 way switch that was discussed recently on the forum. Most guitars will sound good when played loud with lots of volume. The C6th neck on most guitar will sound good because of big strings. Where the sheep are separated from the goats is playing at low volume on the E9th. How high can you play on the E9th neck and still maintain a clear clean sound with string separation. Also, is the sound clean and clear with a lot of string separation on the first fret. The first fret and way up high is where most E9th guitars and E9th pickups fail in quality.
