Mike, congratulations on the new guitar. Hope you enjoy playing for many years to come. I got my new Zum last November. It was shipped from Missouri to Walton, NY. When I unpacked it and set it up, it was perfectly in tune. I sat and played for an hour. It will be on stage tomorrow night at the Delaware County Fair, Walton, NY at the entertainment tent starting at 8:00 PM. Enjoy! Regards, Larry J.

Hey Mike,

Congrats on the New GFI....
Gene Fields lives just down the street from me. Great guy and a genious when it ocmes to knowing all about Steel Guitars.

I felt the same about my new MSA I got a couple of months ago....brought it to the gig after I picked it up....in tune right out of the case and played like a million bucks!

Lots of GREAT steel guitar minds in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area (Bud, Gene, Reece..etc)

Hey Mike, congrats on the new steel. Do you still have your black GFI? I bet it sounds better, huh?

Yea i still have the black one.. Its sort of a peace of history now, Holly Dunn sat down at it on one of her shows and attemted to play it (Just For Kicks)... so im sure she thinks the black sounds better! But really, I can't beleave these little guitars.. they are something else.. Im looking forward to getting my new one on stage at St louis..I also recorded my last Cd ( Cold Hard Steel) on the black GFI and went direct to the board.. and it still had the tone!
See Ya In St.louis.

Mike, I just got another new Zum on Wednesday. Had a session with our guitar player on Wed nite to work on some twin stuff and some other arrangements. I got home from work, adjusted the knee lever angles comparing it to the other Zum, I didn't have time to adjust the pedal rods so I grabbed the rods from the other guitar and went over to his place. I hadn't even played it until I got it set up in his garage. It worked great. Ron

I think if you go to the GFI web site there is a picture of a guitar the same color as Mike's except Mike's is keyless. It's the new Gentry Oak and Gold. Really a sharp looking guitar. BTW Mike, do I get to play this one? I'll let you play mine again.
