Well it's time to make another trip to Colorado for another reunion gig with my old gang, Dusty Drapes and the Dusters. It's a smaller, more toned down version this time. Should be fun! Here's a press release:
Dusty Drapes and the Dusters
"Honky Tonkin' with the Legends"
The boys are back at it again! This time they're bringing their special brand of Western Swing and Honky Tonk music to a smaller, more personal setting.
What could be better than a night or two of great Music and Barbecue.
You can dust off your boots, kick up
your heels, pig out on some of the best BBQ in Colorado, have a few cool ones and enjoy a trip back to the days when Country was really cool!
The lineup for this show includes:
Dusty Drapes- Bass/ vocals
Dan McCorison- Guitar/ vocals
Don (BBQ) DeBacker- Guitar/ vocals
Rick (Delmar) Schmidt- Steel/ Guitar/ vocals
Eugene Smith- Drums/ vocals
Lonesome Rolan- Piano/ vocals
This will be a special "event" you won't want to miss!

At least you will be well fed, Rick. The Kaddy Shack is world famous for its BBQ. If I weren't working both nights, I'd be there for sure. We opened for DD a few years back at the Bluebird. I think they had two steelers at that show. Used to see y'all at Peggies's Hi-Lo in Boulder back in the day. Have fun! |

I shoulda figured that all you guys would be working that weekend. Dang! I really don't know what the format is gonna be JB? I think it's kinda loose....not the large band concert stuff. So it might be more like a regular late night honky tonk gig. Please stop by if you can. I'm sure I'll still be there with beer in hand.
BTW, I'm gonna try to get out to see Dick M. and "Denver" Joe the following monday. My cell # is (951)442-9621 any of you are around. |

Hey Rick, From what I understand about geography, all roads to Colorado run directly through Rimrock AZ. Give me a call if you are in the neighborhood. 928-567-4612
