Did you make them yourself ? They look great...
Never understood a 75 cent decal on a 4000$ guitar...

Man, I REALLY like that. Subtle, classy, SMALL. I'm totally with Olli about the decals. And there are those who like decals on the keyhead side & center. Not for me, thankew.
VERY NICE job, Peter.
Kinda wonder if Mike Mantley's paying attention? Confused

The one on the blue guitar looks very nice. For some reason, I like it better on that guitar than on the black. I don't know why...

Peter, that looks great!! For me, that puts the finishing touch on the guitar. I agree with the other guys.. a decal on a top of the line guitar? I think your on to something with the name badge. Now I want one for my Mullen D-10.

Peter you should ask the maker how much it'd cost for a larger number of orders (say 50, 75 or 100) and you could recoup some of you loss. I'd buy one if the cost were reasonable. Very exquisitely done. steve t

Peter, how long and wide is the badge? I'm wondering if it will cover up all of the decal.

Steve, the badge is 106 x 44 millimeters. I haven't got a clue what that might be in inches.

Big improvement over the original decal, but I don't get why "Steel Guitars" has to be included. Ever seen a car badged "Car" ?

And "Mother-of-toilet-seat" inlay is not one of my favorite things either... Wink

Steel Guitars is included because it is a part of the original logo. To me changing a logotype would be not only immoral, it might even be illegal. What I did was to reproduce the logotype in a different material.

And I don't quite grasp the meaning of the "Mother-of-toilet-seat" -stuff

I guess I'm the odd man out here, but something about the oval shape of the ends doesn't look symmetrical with the rest of the guitar to me. Perhaps if it had sharper angles or followed the lines of the angled endplate. Or maybe it's the relief and height of the badge that bothers me.

I prefer the decal on my Mullen or, as an upgrade, the same decal design inlaid in MOP or abalone.

Well, you asked. Wink ......but whatever you like is the important thing. It appears to be very professionally crafted and high quality in construction though and I applaud your obvious pride, your motivation and creativity to effect improvements to your instruments.

Beautiful, well maintained instruments you have there. Smile

What I'd like to see is just the lettering, like what Tommy Dodd has come up with, but in chromed metal, like you'd see on cars of yesteryear. I agree with the cellophane decal on a several thousand dollar guitar comment, although it isn't particular to Mullen by any means. I just bought a $200 Fender Vintage guitar case and it has a large metal logo on it so they can't be all that costly to have made.

Might get a bit off-topic, but, has anyone seen one like this before?

Not exactly, it looks like it came off another piece of Fender gear. Or is it photoshopped on there?
What I picture is the Mullen logo ( which is already in a nice script and lends itself well to this type of thing ) made like this, with the all chrome lettering. This one on my guitar case is five inches long...huge. I know they're mass produced but even so, how much could it cost to have smaller ones made? I would definitely pay a little more to have this style of logo.
I should probably add that I applaud your efforts with your own design. It's just that this topic has been of interest to me for some time...enough time to have conjured up my own image of what I'd like the logo to be.
