I'm looking for a universal 12 or ext.9th. I'm from Texas & traveling in Ohio back to Texas June 1. Thank you for all the contacts. I found what I wanted & will pick it up in Kentucky May 30. Then I will donate to the Forum. God Bless. Jim Yoder

Jim, I have a very nice used GFI SD12 Universal with a pad. It is their top of the line Ultra model and also a keyless with 8 pedals, 5 knee levers and case in black. The guitar is only 2 years old and in excellent condition and I am only asking $1995 which is less than half price as this guitar retails for over $4000. I take trades all the time but I get very few U12s.

Hi James. I have a Sierra U-12 that I'm having Rick Troyer, of Hummingbird Studio in Sugarcreek Ohio sell for me. It is 8x5, is set up Emmons and comes with the original hard shell case It has the old style tuning machines (not keyless) Asking price is $1695 and is negotiable. It can be seen on Ricks web-site at hummingbirdstudio.com His phone #is 1-800-361-1770. As you may know, Sierras are on the heavy side. I loved the guitar, but I'm 72, and can't handle the weight, anymore. Rick is in the store every weekday except Wednesday. Thanks.

Sorry, James. I got Rick's web-site wrong. It is hummingbirdmusicstudio.com (hope I got it right, this time!) At least I got the phone number right!

The original invoice from Sierra (which I have) lists the shipping date as 9-19-80.SWM-12 Sierra Master Series. Silver and Rosewood s/n SWM12-370-80. The invoice number is 40862. The Rosewood is Mica. The silver color, must refer to the metalwork. I am not the original owner, but they included the invoice with a bunch of papers, booklets, etc., they gave me. I had it for about 15 years, played some steel jams, and practiced on it.(no gigs) The pickup is wired directly to the output jack. (no controls) That's how it was when I bought it.It's not cosmetically, absolutely perfect, but it looks very good. It's in Sugarcreek now, and Rick Troyer has posted a good front view of it on his website at hummingbirdmusicstudio.com. Sorry, no underneath views, or the other sides. Rick could probably do that for you, if you're interested. I have a Jeff Newman video, detailing the copedent, and tuning, etc. that I could make you a DVD of, if you want. I would rather you talk to Rick than me, as he is a much better player than I, and teaches PSG at the studio. He can answer your questions much better than I could. Thanks for your interest.
