B-6 model
Serial # C1616 (Best guess: 6's are indistinct, either/both may be 0's)
Pre-war, 1-1/2" pickup magnets.
PAT. NO. 1881229 in raised characters below the bridge
Strings-through-body.
PAT. NO. 2089171 stamped on plates under pickup thumbscrews
Frets not outlined in white
Chrome(?)-plated brass plates
RICKENBACHER ELECTRO RF LOS ANGELES headstock plate
Jack on player side
One tuner (4th string) replaced (partial vintage strip); otherwise individual Grovers with 7-sided buttons and hexagonal plates. (I expect delivery of a correct period replacement tuner shortly.)
This all suggests 1938, give or take a year.
V/T knobs replaced with chickenheads. Plates under V/T knobs are pushed in, implying either force to pots or else Goober and Jethro hammered down the edges to make sure the chickenheads had full clearance throughout their rotation.
Except as noted, all hardware looks original; very clean condition generally. Tone pot appears to be original. Sound is clean and strong (even with the 010-046 D'Addario's that the store's rocker employees must have put on it.)
I'll either find a some kind of small chipboard case or double-box.
ONE DAY ONLY --6/8-- PRICE BUMP: $850 shipped in USA; includes PayPal and b0b. $850 until 6/9 10:00 am PDT. (I'll knock off a few bucks for a postal MO or a few bucks more for cash-in-person instead of P/P.)

You might not want to do this but if you were to remove those chicken-head knobs and see if you could neatly bang back out those plates to their original form, I'd consider buying this guitar.
p.s. Just noticed you are in La Crescenta, where I spent 4 days last week -- before I knew you were there! My wife's cousin lives on Dunsmore Ave. Close to you perhaps? My son is still there right now... _________________ www.JimCohen.com
