This little lap steel is labeled "Ray Gourley, Inglewood, Calif," but was made by Magnatone (per the serial number tag) in the '50s. Really pretty blue-green MOTS. Plays and sounds just fine. Replaced the tuner buttons with the cream colored ones from Stew-Mac. At some point someone cut through the MOTS covering to expose the pickup, but it's ensconced in its original wax, never messed with. Maybe they thought it would have more output that way, I dunno. Looks like a Tele rhythm pickup. Anyway, it's cheap: $175 plus shipping and PayPal. One pic below and more HERE.

I have one from the same era but it has a horseshoe magnet pick-up. Wish I had the $ for this one too.
