Hello Reese,
I bought a MSA classic sn 1C1815, it has a narrow single coil pickup. The cutout for the pickup is 1" x 4".

Can you tell me what year it was made?

And do you know if there is a humbucker pickup that will fit it?

Thanks!!

Richard.....Serial number 1C1815 shows to be black single 10 which left the factory with 5 & 4. It was originally shipped to our distributor at the time who was located in Chicago and they would have sold it to a music store. Your guitar was born on January 25th 1974.

The pickup you describe is likely the original pickup. If you wish to replace it with a pickup that will more closely adapt to the cavity dimensions, I suggest you consider the Geo.L E66.

Thank you for playing an MSA.
