This will be a very busy weekend in Siloam Springs, Ar. The Steel Guitar Show and the Dogwood Festival along with lots of yard sales. The Americas' Best Value Inn 1801 HWY 412 West tele 479-524-2025 is giving a rate of $55.95 plus tax. You must mention the steel show to get this price. Otherwise it is $64.95 plus tax. Mark your calendar April 30,2011 and May 1,2011 for this great entertaining weekend.

Looks like a good show again this year. Was wondering if someone will have a Nashville 400 that Lee Ogle and I could use on saturday afternoon. His car is small and will be full with 2 steels and 2 steel seats and effects unit. Ray

Ray, It looks like you've been well taken care of! A Nashville 400 is all I ever use! I love the sound that it gives and it's quite durable. I've had mine for many years. Ray, I know you know a lot about the 'behind the scenes' at these steel shows! Norma Jean, you and your crew are to be commended! To get a list of players together is quite a feat and to secure the band members is not an easy task either but being able to come up with a venue like we had last year is remarkable and Norma Jean you've really done a great job. I really enjoyed playing at the other places there in Siloam, also, but it's so good to bring the equipment in at ground level and the wonderful committee of "equipment carriers" you have there is outstanding. The main accomplishment I see is the ability to get my good friend, Bill Myrick, to play. I don't seem to have that ability! Go for it, Bill! You're all right!! We're sure anxious to see everyone! Can't wait!!
Jerry

I told Ray that we could just duct tape his 400 to the roof of the car, but he said no. I don't think it would scratch my car.

Jerry thank you for such kind words but I can't take all the credit. We are a small club but we are as one unit in putting the show together. I really appreciate all the club members for all their help. We are all proud of Bill Myrick helping our club. Maybe it's the woman's touch that gets him to play. Smile I mean Ms. Eva. Of course a show is not complete without having you and Venda share God's Word with us on Sunday morning. I always look forward to this part of our show. Thank you for helping us all these years. See ya soon and maybe all the bad weather will be gone then.

Looks like Madam President, Norma Jean, is using her powers to clear out the inclement weather too !!! Brings to mind the old saying "Hell hath no wrath like that of a woman's scorn" or something like that. Anyway, her and mother nature must have gotten together and reached an agreement, looks good for The Annual Dog Wood Festivival and our show. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Come spend the weekend and enjoy !!!

I send sincere thanks to the SSSGC for their invitation to let me play a new notes on their show. Mary and I had a great time.

Because of my old timer's disease, I did manage to leave my steel guitar cover behind. It's likely near the wall next to the stage, on a cooler or food serving table. If you find it during cleanup, I'd appreciate it. Just let me know and we'll make arrangements.

Edit: My cover has been found. THANK YOU DONNA NEWBERRY!

Bill, I'm so glad to hear about the building quotes you have to get out! That's sure good bread and butter and I hope you get a ton more of them! Sure enjoyed getting to be together in Siloam. I know the SSSGC really appreciates your involvement! May the Lord richly bless you as you seek after Him!
