WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE AGE OF THE GUITAR -THE ONLY
NUMBER I CAN FIND ON THE GUITAR IS 2C6179. ANY HELP

Michael.....Serial number 2C6179 shows to be an emerald green double 10 which left the factory with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers. It was originally shipped to a music store named SGC. (location unknown) The specific date of completion was not entered into record, but I would say it was born in late 1981 or early 1982.

Would you kindly tell me,where I can find some kind of a dating number,on a MSA VINTAGE XL d-10 I have.I have seen nothing,did I over look something??

Reece, Were there many Vintage XL guitars made ? D10 or SD10.
I had a friend that owned a S10 Vintage XL and it was one of the best sounding pedal steel's I have had the pleasure of hearing. He is not with us any longer !RIP. I would like to find a SD or D10 Vintage XL for myself someday. I'm too tall to get under a S10. _________________ Bill |
