For the benefit of Rickenbacher archivists (Harry Sheppard et al.) and aficionados, I'm reporting a new acquisition.

RICKENBACHER ELECTRO RF LOS ANGELES headstock plate
Jack on player side
One tuner (4th string) replaced; otherwise individual Grovers with 7-sided buttons and hexagonal plates
V/T knobs replaced with chickenheads. Plates under V/T knobs are pushed in, implying either force to pots or else Goober and Jethro hammered down the edges to make sure the chickenheads had full clearance throughout their rotation.
Except as noted, all hardware looks original; very clean condition generally. Tone pot appears to be original. Sound is clean and strong.
Did not come with a case.

Serial # E8 -(long hyphen) 88 (Best guess: Might be E8-86; letter might be a B. Over Ric's entire history, Adolph and his charges couldn't die-stamp for squat.)
Post-war, 1-1/4" pickup magnets.

Frets outlined in white
Later-style neck (no heel).

RICKENBACHER ELECTRO T-shaped headstock plate
Jack on audience side
Kluson single-line strip tuners; shafts go all the way through the housing
Black flying- saucer V/T knobs, both on treble side.
Hardware looks original; well-played by original owner Los Angeles radio performer and teacher Beatrice Kealoha Cook. This Ric toured with Ben Harper and was used on the CD "Fire & Skill," Tribute to the Jam's Paul Weller.

Sounds like you did good!! 
I worked on s/n C983, and added a tone control on it ( 1935 model likely) and C2112, just minor work on that one. |

In my best Arnold voice, 'it's not a panda'.
That rediculous tag pertains to the later years with white plates, and even then the cloying term should never again be used.
