My fellow forumites:
Of late I have allowed my self too much time on this site and not enough to practice. The main reason this forum works so well is because of the great cross section of musicians we have posting here. The discussions range far and wide, almost always ending in differing opinions.
Like Coke or Pepsi or your favorite beverage. If we all liked the same thing some body would be out of business. But the most facinating feature is this instrument we play.
Now I don't play all instruments so feel free if you disagree. (I did'nt think I had to ask) I have found no other that emotes and emits such passion and emotion as this.
This is quite apparant by the number of threads created by any given topic. Once again I can't speak for every musical forum on the web but I bet the picolos don't suffer this much. Or drummers or piano or horns ect.ect.
But this forum.....well it speaks for it self. I enjoy the "friendly" bickering. I hope some of you feel the same way too. I'm in favor of continuing the instructive and constructive dialog. I happen to like Pepsi. I hope this does not make me......too traditional. I have tasted coke and seven up. Also refreshing. So I hope when we engage each other in some other on going dialog we serve each other a varity of drinks. This makes for a nicer party..
I'm gonna play now....

I've noticed that the tone of discussions here have become
more mean spirited in recent days.
I've had to delete a few insulting posts, containing profanity, and close others. This saddens me because there is such a wealth of knowledge here, I don't want to see it go downhill.
If some like Coke, and others Pepsi, we should accept the differencies, not bad mouth the other's choice.
Discussions about the Forum belong in "Feedback and Testing" so I'm moving this, |
