Just took delivery of a Excell JB Frypan which I had Ebayed.
It appears to be Brand New.
Its a little different to the ones I have seen as its all solid no removable back and has a very nice set of legs which screw into the body.
I was originally led to believe the pickup was only a Faux horseshoe, and was probably not any comparison to the real thing, but putting it up to my Bakelite and an old Metal 59 model it hold up extremely well,in fact i would probably not benefit by changing it out, which was going to be my original intention.
This Steel sounds awesome, excellent workmanship the Tone and Volume controls are very nicely recessed into the body, the bridge and nut are cut spot on,which is more than i can say for my Bakelite.
Its very heavy sustains forever and the legs sit nicely into a fitted case.
As i said the listing said New does anyone have anymore info.
No serial number but the Sticker on the back says Fuzzy Guitar Co Japan.
Here are some pics.

Nice guitar Kelvin! Mine had the serial number stamped into the top edge of the keyhead.

That's the later design, with no bottom cover. I haven't played one or heard one, just looked at a new one. |
