I am selling my D-10 Emmons Black Rock.
I have tried to research info on this guitar but have had little success.
The serial number stamped in the changer end is
1005 MD.I don't know when it was built

The guitar is Rosewood mica. It has bolt on changers, a wooden neck and wooden pedal board.
The pick ups are stock Emmons single coils and sound great. It is Emmons sound all the way.
Everything is there, all the bell cranks, rods, pedal rods and it plays. The underside is dirty and the guitar needs a professional setup in my opinion. I could do this but I am too old and too tired to undertake this job. This will be a one of a kind guitar in my opinion. I would send it to Albert Johnson in Talahassee Florida and have him do his thing with it.If you don't know Albert ask Micky Adams about him.Cosmetically the guitar is pretty good. The legs are a little pitted but in good mechanical condition.
The case is a black aluminum in decent shape for it's age. I would like $1650.00 Shipped in the lower 48. I might take an interesting lead guitar in trade.
No more pedal steels as I still have seven.

It appears to have neither a wood or metal neck, is it a D10 student guitar?
Also, I've never seen a pedal rack like that.

Emmons economy model, right? If it uses the same changers as the student model, they are shorter to match the "neck-less" fretboard, although that looks like more of a fretboard than a student model. As are the pickups on this? The pedalboard also looks like a student type.

Still, a push-pull for less than $2K, guys and gals.

Blackrock guitars were in between student and full pro models . Very good guitars , I had two of them both single 10's.
Same end plates as a pro , bolt on changer a wooden neck about 1/4" thick and a wooden pedal board .
Edited to add pic :

An early shot of me playing a Blackrock . Note the aluminium trim .

Thanks for the comments. This is definately not a student model. The wooden fret board is about 3/8th of an inch thick I have spoke with a number of folks who know a lot about Emmons guitars and no one seems to remember seeing another one like this.
If anyone could shed some light on this I would appreciate it. It wouldn't take a lot to make this old girl really shine. The sound is already there. When you strum across the string the whole guitar vibrates.Grab a leg and you can really feel it.
Maybe someone could date it from the bellcranks or levers..

Well, so far the only response I had are folks emailing me ,telling me the price is too high, that is not a wooden neck, the pedal board didn't come from Emmons and a bunch of other BS.I will give it a couple of more days and then maybe part it out. Bell cranks are worth quite a bit as are the pedals and other parts. If it is over priced I appoligize. As stated in the beginning I have nothing to go on as this seems to be a unusual guitar.I have only been playing Emmons guitars for forty five years so
I don't know it all.

Hey Willis, if you part it out I would like the pedal rack and the pedals. I have been looking for one for a while. Please let me know if you decide to go in that direction. Thanks! Adam.

The Emmons black rocks had a great sound. The late Al Marcus used one like Bud's many years ago on a weekly TV country music show in Phoenix AZ. Heres a couple of pics I had of some old S-10 black rocks.

Hey Nick:
Thanks for posting the pictures. I have already been informed by one of the brighter element that this couldn't be a black rock as they were all black..go figure.
