Buddy recorded with his NEW JCH, and The new Fender Steel King Amp this morning for the first time. What a combination, The best steel built, The Steel King and The "Big E".

It was a great session to say the least, stay tuned for details.

The "Steel King" amp looks about the size of a Nashville 400. Buddy, that's a fine lookin' JCH you have.

The photo was shot at Tunecastle Studios, in Goodlettsville. Buddy was playing on Laney Hicks upcoming CD. Russ played some great steel on the album and Laney sang her "" off. Charlie McCoy played some dynamite harp on the project too. Can't wait to get a copy of the finished project.

I don't know if I will be able to listen to this new C.D . of Laney Hicks without a heavy coat on . She is without a doubt The best singer in the world I get chillbumps when she sings No squeeling or hollering Just pure singing No wonder all steel guitar players want to have her sing on their C.D.s It makes them sound so much better I'll for sure be in Bristol to hear her Garland Nash

Two years ago, I heard Buddy Emmons introduce and play his new "Nameless Shuffle". It was just about the prettiest thing I'd ever heard. I left Scotty's Convention with a copy of the song, and I played it all the time, (when Russ wasn't looking, of course).
Some lyrical thoughts began to enter my mind; I know what you're thinking, why would anyone in their right mind want to put mere words to a perfectly good Buddy Emmons instrumental?! Well, let's just say, I was inspired.
When Buddy said he would record it with me, he made a longtime dream of mine come true.
We made him play all the fills and instrumentals, because, to me this is a "duet". I love this melody, and I love what he played.
That the session turned out to be the "maiden voyage" of Buddy's new beautiful black JCH and Steel King amp just makes the whole thing that much more special.
We're calling this version:
A LOVE LIKE THIS/ NAMELESS SHUFFLE
It will be on my new cd.

Thanks, Buddy, for the inspiration and for adding that "magic" Emmons sound.
