Michel Rose, my friend and fellow steeler from Sydney, Aus. has been here in Nashville for a week rehearsing for a TEPAC extravaganza featuring Greg of the world renowned Wiggles TV show and, believe it not, most of Elvis' TCOB band. Laney and I took in last nights performance (they do it again tonight)and were totally blown away with the music...just picture it; Michel, who is a world class player, with James Burton on one side, Reggie Young on the other, and Ronnie Tutt and the TCOB band all doing a wonderful combination of classic country and Elvis music. It was a real treat to the ears. Michel returns to Sydney on Sunday but it sure was good spending what little time he had with him.
CONGRATULATIONS MICHEL !!!!

Russ
Michel is a monster, fer sure, but what the heck is the TEPAC Extravaganza?

I did a Google search on TEPAC and all I could find of substance was either the Treasury Employee's Political Action Committee, or the Trade and Environment Policy Advisory Committee.

Interesting reading, no doubt, but probably doesn't involve steel guitar or Elvis' band, so I didn't bother much with it .

While were on the subject of Michel,I would like to thank him for the personally autographed copy of their (Feral Swing Katz)latest album,"Round 3",in which, both,Russ & myself (among others) received a "friendship credit line". What a wonderful treat that was. But the REAL treat is,listening to the album. The "Katz" stole the show,in 2002,at the ISGC in St. Louie. Thanx again Michel.

Aaaahh, it's all becoming clearer now.

And yes, in our world, excluding the Big E is a Big No No.
